Hey all. It's been so long since I've posted here, it took me a few minutes to find the "compose" button.
I was watching Top Gear with the boy a couple of weeks ago and was laughing pretty hard at one segment about small cars. We both figured the car was ridiculously awesome, and I had gone so far to say it was cute. It turns out I wasn't the only one appreciating the cuteness. I was looking around on Cute Overload this morning and noticed that for the first time, Cute Overload featured a car in one of their posts. It's also the first (and most likely last) time Jeremy Clarkson will ever grace the pages of that site.
Here's the clip:
I'm thinking about hunting one of these down for my 5 minute, mostly downhill commute to work. I'd probably have to pick it up and drag it home (uphill) but exercise would do me good.
When did you last write/receive a handwritten, snail-mail letter? Who was it to/from?

My super-pal Julie sent me some postcards this past week from Florida. They picture some early 90's vintage (judging by the neon...) men without shirts wearing bleached jeans. Getting snail-mail is cool and totally makes my day when I come home from work.
Show us a photo that's overexposed or underexposed but you love how it turned out.
This picture was taken by one of my bestest buds around Christmas time last year on the Legislature grounds. I think it looks like I just appeared out of nowhere in a cloud of smoke or something. It was really cold that night (as most winter nights here are...) and I think this picture is a result of too many people breathing warm air near the camera ;)
Show us a birthday cake.

This afternoon I went on a mission to replace the fallen t-shirts. I went out into the blaring sun, and 30 degree weather to the stores only to find FALL CLOTHING. I walked around the store trying to figure out who in their right mind would be interested in wool cowl neck sweaters in the middle of July. I could not figure it out. I still cannot.
I can understand people may be interested in fall type clothes if they lived somewhere where 30 degrees (celsius) was fall weather, but here, summer lasts a couple of months, and fall is definitely colder than 30 degrees. On the plus side of this strange seasonal stocking, I managed to replace my t-shirts with "last season styles" that were on sale for $6 each. Score!
I'm sure I'll find my way back to said store when I feel the need for a wool cowl neck sweater, but I can assure you it won't be until they can safely stop air conditioning the store. For now, I'll enjoy my summer fashions, even if the fashion world thinks fall begins in July.
really? I caught a couple minutes of it and thought it was stinktastic, but maybe I'll give it another try. read more
